The goal of the library media center is to raise student achievement by empowering our students to become lifelong readers and learners. A flexible scheduling system meets the varying needs of students, small groups and classes. Collaborative planning with teachers enables us to integrate research skills and literature appreciation into the learning experiences in the classroom and in the media center.
A large book collection supports reading for pleasure and information. An online catalog, Internet stations, and other nonprint materials are used as tools for learning. The library media specialist assists teachers in using the latest technology including digital cameras, video cameras, laptop computers, and LCD projectors.
